Publication scheme

Our publication scheme describes and categorises information routinely available from the Office of the Information Commissioner Queensland (OIC). It has been developed to give the community greater access to information held by government.

Information is grouped and accessible through eight classes:

  1. About us

Information regarding the agency, including, our location, contact details, and governance.

  2. Our services << needs to be linked >>

A description of the services offered by the OIC, including advice on how to make an application to the OIC, guidance, booklets, leaflets, transactions, and media releases.

  3. Our policies << needs to be linked >>

The current written policies and protocols we administer for delivering our functions and responsibilities.

  4. Our lists << needs to be linked >>

The information that we hold in registers required by law, as well as other lists and registers relating to the functions of the OIC.

  5. Feedback << needs to be linked >>

We value your comments and any feedback you provide will be used to make improvements to our Publication Scheme, or to the OIC in general. You can contact us at any time to provide feedback.

Any complaints are managed in accordance with our Complaints Management Policy and Procedure.

  6. Copyright

A page outlining copyright and licensing information, including any Creative Commons licensing details (e.g., "Copyright and Licensing").

  7. Contact us

The contact details, and means of reaching the OIC, as well as other information relating to common reasons why you may wish to contact the OIC.

  8. About publication schemes

The OIC’s publication scheme may vary from other Queensland Government departments and agencies, because the OIC is not an entity to which an access application may be made (s 26). You can learn more about what constitutes a compliant publication scheme here.
